ROAST ROLLOVER

Every Monday

It’s a tradition plenty of you love, so much so we’ve decided that we won’t restrict it to one day.

Each Monday, we roast more potatoes, make fresh Yorkies and serve a roast rollover. Because the things we enjoy should be available on more than one day a week.

PICKY BITS AND PLONK

Monday-Thursday | 4pm-6pm

Join us throughout the summer for nibbles and wine with friends. Enjoy a bottle of wine sat alfresco or in the bar and a picky bits board for £30, or take £15 off any bottle on the list! See you there.

FISH FRIDAY

Every Friday from 5pm

One of Pete’s favourite things is preparing and cooking fish, and being as there aren’t many places locally that do it really well, we thought we’d fill the void. 

Every Friday from 5pm, you’ll find a fish starter, and two fish mains. From hake to halibut, whole lemon sole, and masala cod, there’ll be something different every week. 

CRAB FRITES

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday

An absolute favourite – native dressed crab and skinny fries for £25.00, best enjoyed alfresco with a glass of wine. Find it on our specials

WIMBLEDON SEASON

Monday 29 June – Sunday 12 July

There’s only one thing for it – strawberries and cream on the specials boards – jugs of Pimm’s – and a glass of Nyetimber – how very British of us.

SUPPER CLUB

Thursday 16th July

We’re celebrating the peak of summer with a sociable supper taking you through Pete’s career history. This event will focus around communal dining and conversation, hosted by Emma and with each course introduced by Pete. Sponsored by Nyetimber with a glass on arrival, followed by five courses, £60pp. Book a table online and quote “supper club”.

7pm arrival for 7:30pm seat.

SUMMER GARDEN PARTY

Saturday 1st August

After the success of last year – we couldn’t miss out on throwing another party, there’ll be live music from Taylormade 1pm-3pm and DJ SilverSpinner from 4pm, plus BBQ specials and loaded cheesecakes all day. 12pm-6pm. Book a table on the terrace or just pop down and soak up the rays in the garden.

TAPAS ON THE TERRACE

Thursday 27th August

A joint event hosted by Jess and Lottie – enjoy our five course set menu, with sangria, on the terrace £45pp. Full details and menu online soon. Limited numbers. Start the long weekend right!

BANK HOLIDAY

Monday 31st August

The last one of the year – stop by for your roast rollover, a delicious special or just a drink in the sun – it’s the bank holiday after all!

AUTUMN MENU CHANGE

Wednesday 9th September

We don’t want to wish the summer away, but cosy evenings means hearty food. We can’t wait to share our new autumn menu with you.

SUPPER CLUB

Thursday 15th October

We’re celebrating the arrival of the autumn harvest with a sociable supper showcasing the best of the season. This event will focus around communal dining and conversation, with each course introduced by our chef brigade. Five courses, with champagne on arrival, £60pp. Book a table online and quote “supper club”.

WINE AND CHEESE

Thursday 19th November

Always a sell out, get booked in early as it’s limited numbers. £45pp for five cheeses and fives wine. Book in and quote ‘wine and cheese’.

Surely we can all agree it’s salad weather now?

This week’s been all about the sport 🎾 ⚽️ 

We started the week with Wimbledon, and then we took home a win on Wednesday at the World Cup.

And whilst we enjoy watching from the sidelines, our true love is the great food and drink we produce.

From the quintessential @pimmsgb and lemonade, to @nyetimber, Landlord from @timothytaylorsbrewery and @luckysaintbeer. British beef from @aubreyallenleamington native crab, English strawberries, tomatoes and tenderstem broccoli from @worcesterproduce - we always celebrate all that is great from our very own Isle.
Sounds like “shall we grab a drink?” weather.

And no we aren’t counting how many you have.
The best kind of hobby…

Our specials never stay the same, so there’s always something new to try, whether it’s testing new menu dishes, showcasing the best of the season, or the team just being creative.

This week there’s braised short rib and caramelised onion crumpet, applewood cheese and fried egg and at the weekend we’ve got tempura monkfish and sauce gribiche. 

There’s blythburgh pork with basil salsa midweek, chalk stream trout and dressed crab is back for fish Friday.

And to celebrate Wimbledon you’ll find English strawberries on the board for the next two weeks too 🍓
